Cash flow is consistent is it?? That's why they call it 'flow', because it's steady and constant forever. Dragons Den stuff.

No way he should be getting a pay rise after one year of doing what you’d expect from your record buy.
Maybe we would regret not shifting him in a few years but I say the risk of selling your best performer is the greater of the two. We should be looking to add to the team, not detract from it and with the transfer system being a bit of a lottery, when you find an expensive buy that fits, you’re better off keeping him in my opinion.

I just read on NewsNow that Everton fans don't want him so I'll sleep a bit sounder in my bed tonight.
Had we not bought Arnie we'd be planning for life in the Championship now and Stoke would be where we are. I don't care about his wages, that's the board's job. I'd just like to see us keep our best player.

Out of our hands...he probably has a releade clause for major/top team interest... Hopefully with a high cash value for transfer...

I'd be well sad to see him go, but players move on and the world doesn't end. As long as the money is reinvested wisely. Which, of course, is a big IF.

I can’t believe people are talking about how selling Arnautovic would be a good idea. Absolutely mental logic.
Without him last season we would have been fucked.

Fair enough. Rightly or wrongly I doubt Sullivan has the bollocks to sell him without bringing in some serious talent to replace him or there will be uproar. Again.

Nothing to do with saving Sullivan money, but if we get more money on strengthening the squad as a whole but lose a player who history shows is unlikely to replicate his good season, then I'd accept that.

Sourness made an interesting observation on Payet and his first season. His view was that it was likely to be a one off as players at that age rarely suddenly develop into huge stars and maintain that form.
It’s fair to say his second season was poor, but clearly there was a lot of off-field issues that were playing their role. I believe his first season at Marseilles was poor as well. It’s only this season that he seems to have found some ability again. From what I can determine anyway.
I wonder if Arnie falls into the same category?Only rather than a full first season, we had 70%.
He’s a beast on his day, in many ways unplayable but where has this form been all his career? Anything north of £50m and I’d be a seller. It would be a shame in some respects as he seems to have a genuine love of playing for us.

I dont care about saving Sullivan money, I just want to see our best players stay. Arnie was fucking mustard last season once Moyes got here. When did we become so small time that our fans just accept we must sell our best players? Embarrassing.

Vexed. He had a good season, he was head and shoulders our best player. If we keep him, great. But if he demands a big wage increase off the back of one good season when for years he's been an up and down player then, me personally, I'd sell him if the price was right.

As a sensible chap, he'll be happy to agree a deal prior to the WC.

Who was more consistent for us since Moyes took over?
Consistently good that is. Loads were regularly dogshit.

29 year old who is far from consistent.
Got a feeling we'd regret not accepting a big offer for him. Especially if we end up paying him more for the pleasure

Throw him a few more quid, tell him we love him and we need him. He stays to be a big fish here, a potential future legend and everyone is happy, player, agent, club and fans. The end.
Calm down everyone.
